Where to start
- 1. If your tank is new, start with the Equipment Checklist and Stocking Planner so you buy the right gear and plan your community before any fish go in.
- 2. Begin the Cycling Tracker the day you add an ammonia source. Do not add fish until ammonia and nitrite both clear to zero in 24 hours.
- 3. Once stocked, keep the Water Test Log and Water Change Log going, and post the Maintenance and Feeding schedules near the tank where everyone can see them.
- 4. Keep the printed planner in a binder by your supplies so it is always within reach. Pair it with the free calculators on FishTankCalculator.com.
